THE VILLAGE SAPPORO is Ichigo’s first office building development project in approximately 15 years. Although it is a new office building, the building draws on the real estate expertise and know-how Ichigo cultivated via its value-add activities to create new value in central Sapporo.
Located just a two-minute walk from Sapporo Subway Station and directly connected to the Sapporo Ekimae-Dori Underground Walkway (Chi-Ka-Ho), THE VILLAGE SAPPORO is a mid-sized office building designed to provide comfort, safety, and strong environmental performance. Its flexible, column-free standard floors of c. 660m2 are complemented by a smart building system and advanced BCP measures.
THE VILLAGE SAPPORO also houses WeWork’s first flexible office location in Hokkaido. The building features THE LOUNGE by WeWork, a shared lounge produced by WeWork that brings together people from across industries and companies, fostering community and creating opportunities for new business collaboration.

THE VILLAGE SAPPORO applies Ichigo's Sustainable Real Estate value-add philosophy to a new-build development.
Despite its mid-sized scale, THE VILLAGE SAPPORO offers specifications comparable to those of a large-scale office building. Its strong environmental performance includes a CASBEE Sapporo A Rank, ZEB Oriented certification, and the use of renewable energy. Advanced BCP features include seismic resistance 1.25 times the level required under Japan’s current seismic standards, a seismic control structure, 72 hours of emergency power, and dual high-voltage power feeds.
Complementing these performance features, the building’s design draws inspiration from Hokkaido’s natural environment and materials.
